Tip of the Week - Who are you listening to?
Joshua 1:7 says "Only be strong, and very courageous..." How can we be strong when there is so much panic in the economy right now? How can we be strong when we continue to see reports of thousands being laid off? How can we be strong when we see our savings accounts dwindling?Strength, just like weakness comes from what or who we put our trust in.The Bible is very clear that fear of anything but God is from the enemy. Fear keeps us up a night, Fear keeps us from walking daily in the miraculous. Fear is a choice!Fear begins with a thought whispered by the enemy. Courage is binding that thought, casting it out and putting our full faith in the character and promises of God.If you are unemployed right now, do you believe it caught God by surprise? He has a plan for you - align your words and actions in that faith and be not double-minded - "Because he loves me" says the Lord, "I will rescue him. I will protect him because he acknowledges my name." -Psalms 91:14
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for hope and a future.
Hebrew 13:5
He's with you always and forever; he will never leave you, and he will never abandon you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 21:30
There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord
I Cor 2:9-12
No eyes have seen, no ears have heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him, but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
